PRELUDE

          The Andhra Pradesh Forest Academy, Dulapally is listed in 10th Schedule of A.P.Reorganization Act–2014 thereby, both the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are entitled to use the services of Academy till 2024.  But, the Government of Andhra Pradesh have take a decision to start its own Institute for imparting training to Forest Section Officers and Forest Beat Officers and accordingly necessary proposals for the establishment of Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy at Lalacheruvu, Rajamahendravaram were submitted to the Government by the Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests, (HoFF),  Andhra Prdesh,  Guntur.

Based on the proposals, the Government have issued instructions in G.O.Ms.no.104, E.F.S.& T (For-V) Dept., Dated:19-10-2016, to impart training to the Forest Section Officers/Forest Beat Officers commencing from 02-01-2017 duly following the guidelines issued earlier vide G.O. Ms. No. 5, EFS&T (For.V) Department, dated 27-01-2012.     As per the Government orders communicated by the Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), A.P., Guntur in Rc.no.11366/2016/HR-2, Dt.10.11.2016. The first batch of training was commenced on 2-1-2017 to the frontline staff viz., Forest Beat Officers & Forest Section Officers of Andhra Pradesh Forest Department at Rajamahendravaram.                     
 
The main objective of A.P. State Forest Academy, Rajamahendravaram is  to improve the current or future performance of the Frontline staff by increasing their ability to perform well through learning, by changing their attitude and also by increasing their skills and knowledge in Forestry Training in a systematic process designed in such a way that the trainees gain knowledge and develops their skills through the fixed lecture hours as well as practical classes that results in improve much in overall performance of the trainees over a specified period of one year in case of Forest Section Officers and 6 months in case of Forest Beat Officers.        

The Academy is also equipped to train such other personnel sponsored by Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation Ltd., Urban Development Authority, Scheduled Caste Corporation, N.G.Os and private organizations at their cost to be paid in advance, for the training session after obtaining prior permission from the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, depending upon the availability of seats.
